Columbia City Self Storage

Cornice has successfully delivered numerous self-storage facilities, and this ground up 4-acre mixed RV and self-storage was no different. The Columbia City Storage Facility consisted of 19,000 sf of self-storage, 44,000 sf of vehicle storage, and 8,400 sf of mini storage. We assisted the developer with the design throughout construction. One challenge that arose was creating a site with proper storm water infiltration. Despite this hurdle, we managed to deliver a site plan that took advantage of 100% storm water infiltration. Cornice designed an efficient, sloped site and sloped building plan to minimize the amount of imported fill material to mitigate unnecessary costs. Not only did this design lower costs, it helped accomplish proper site drainage. All of our efforts have contributed to bringing our client a seamless, finished storage facility, ready for tenants.
